Default Another one "New on the Block"

Just finished my first watercooling setup.
Before going for something serious I just decided to buy "used" parts and try 'em. So I got Maze2, EHEIM 1250 and DD's "The Cooling Cube" and install them into my old Micron "Millenia" case with TBird 750.
Temps for aircooled TBird @750MHz with Black Label Delta fan( noise over 40Db ) were around 42C idling and 48 load with 20C ambient. Heatsink itself was not very good.
After installing watercooling stuff I got this TBird overclocked to 1100MHz ( from 750... ) and the temps are:
ambient 20C, idling( light internet browsing, editing etc... ) 30-33C
Prime95 load 35-38C.

The only thing is I will never go for "cube" style for generic cases + EHEIM 1250... I barely put it together in the case...
I'm not sure why I'm posting this here.... All of you already went through this ... well.... maybe just to establish something...

Well, it's always nice to share the experience you have with your own projects with the rest of us. Isn't that what this forum is all about?

you don't have to use one of those cube style cases. One of the challenges of watercooling is to make it all fit and function properly in a tower case. If it didn't pose these types of challenges, I don't think it would intrigue so many people.

a 750 running at 1100 is quite good actually, at that point amd often had issues with delivering cores with much oc'ing ability
