well let just say its gettin a lil hot in my room, with 2 BP6z and another dual P3 ghz... what i like to do is rackmount the bp6z and have them water cooled. im thinkin of 1 system to do all 4 cpuz. what i need to know, is which company to go with for the water blocks, i have made my own getto blocks for a computer that i owned 4yrs ago. but i do not want to go through with that again since i wood have to make four of them. also what pump should i look into gettin and how big of a reservoir. for the rad im thinkin of gettin one like a oil cooler for a car. id say about 10by8 inches should be enough for that. any suggestions wood be great...

Hi. From what I've hear oil coolers suck, stick with big heater cores if possible. For the blocks, I would go with D-TeK's sidewinder or spir@l, or if you don't want to buy their stuff you could go with dden's maze3. you can get a heater core online from www.heatercore4u.com. As for a res, the more water the better. So if you're going for a rack mount and you have an extra rack available, you could build a res out of plex and mount it above the computer. All you really need is a jig saw (or any saw) and some glue (rv silicone?).

thanx for the info, i went with 2 maze1. i should have them in a couple of weeks, that should give me enough time to design a system for my rack.

I have a BP6 with two celery 366's. Been thinking of watercooling this for ages, once I get a few more needed tools, like a drill press.
They do 600Mhz with just some older Alpha heatsinks & hardly any voltage upping (don't remember exact V) so I hope they might reach that magic 733 ![]() |

Not sure what bios, but not doing anything too special to them.
They hit 600 rather easily with the 2 Alphas (some 2-3 year old models) and some enhanced case cooling, but thats as far as it will go, stable. Guess I just got a good batch. My main PC & the 19" monitor heat up my room too much now, so I clocked the celerys to 550. The tops of them are lapped to copper though... PC no longer works though ![]() ![]() I'll watercool that one later on, after I get my current case mod/watercooling system ready. ..don't have icq |
