Default Looking for SILENT pump

I posted a thread on the fact that my Eheim 1048 pump is quite noisy:
http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...&threadid=3769

Hence my question: what is the quietest pump you know of that could be used for PC watercooling?

It really depands on 2 things:

1) Would you be willing to sacfarice GPH for silence?
2) How much are you willing to pay?

Well, in my case:

1) So long as it doesn't sacrifice effectiveness, yes
2) $100 (USD)

Judging from your last post your WB and current pipe size just won't do with the pump (too small, too much pressure!) I'd suggest either you get a pump that has a native output connector of 1/4" (the size of your tubing) or just get a WB with bigger channel sizes (i'd recommand that, because you do have a decent pump)

I posted it in the other thread as well, but in the case you missed it: did you glue your impeller to the shaft ?
The 1048 is a very silent pump once mounted on rubber.

Sanjuro,

I may be going both routes...AND find a super quiet pump AND go to 1/2" all the way. I already sold half my family to pay for the stuff I have now, so I might as well sell the rest. At this point cost is of lesser concern. :-)

gmat, thx...see other thread.
