Removing the Retention Module Base

I am trying to install a Maze3 on an Asus P4B533-e mb and as far as I can see, the Retention Modile Base must be removed. If this is the case, how do I remove it safely so that I can re-install it later for a hand-me-down PC?

In my mobo there were 4 white plastic pins that you accessed from the top side, pull them out, than flip the mobo over and squeeze the ends of the black clips to push them through.That should do it.
