Default cheap but effective water cooling with the unablock

ok, I need to cool a pair of celeron 366's @ 550 and I propose this idea for doing it cheaply since I have a pump and rad already. I plan to get some Arctic Alumina thermal epoxy and epoxy the unablocks to the heat spreaders on the processors. Can anyone think of a reason that would not work?

I think it would work quite well, but I'd consider using a better pump, because that block has been known to perform poorly with the old Rio 180 (which in itself is a pretty weak pump).

You should be able to easily come close to a Maze 3, with the right pump.

maybee I'll also order a minijet pump. they pack a bit more punch than the rio's yet are cheap and still relatively small.

the higher gph minijet found here would probably work quite well.

I don't know, that still doesn't look very powerfull to me.

I'd consider one of the bigger Rios, like the 1700, at least. (but hey, that's just my take on it!). It's still cheap.

Again, the purpose of having a big flow rate here, is to make up for the lack of performance from the Unablock (either because of design or material).

Remember to lap those Unablocks!
