hi, I am going to be adding some updates to my system within the next month and I need to know(or at least have an idea) if a blcakice radiator will suit my needs. Below I will be including the specs of my current and future system and common parts if anyone can help(Overkill on the specs, absolutely unnecessary).
common: 20g 7200rpm SeagateBaracuda 12X Creative DVD 12x10x32 CD-RW Floppy!! Eheim 1048 Aquastealth Jaggededge YeongYang SCW101 http://www.servercase.com/ImageFiles/SCW101.html Current: AMD Athlon 1gig@1.5gig Epox 8kta3 120mm BeCooling radiator New: Pentium 4 1.5g Abit TH7-Raid 172 watt TEC ?Blackice? as you can see the blackice radiator is in question. Does anyone know if it will do the job of dissapating the heat from a pentium 4 1.5gig at a high speed(hopefully 2gig or more)? --MAtt |

Hi there.
I currently am modding a Yeong Yang 5403. The internal layout is practically the same as that server case. In fact its cheaper and does look better IMHO. Anyhow, as far as heat goes, using a 250GPH pump and a 100CFM fan, 400W of heat can well be displaced with the coolant at about 10C above ambient. http://www.hwlabs.com/products Good choice with the Yeongyang 5 series. The Black Ice will fit that rear exhaust perfectly. |

It should be no problem. What kind of BeCooling rad are you using?
The Eheims are pretty god, but are also quite expensive. I suggest you opt for a Danner Supreme mag-drive pump. Much cheaper per GPH. With that setup it should keep your CPU about 3 to 5 deg Celsius above ambient. |

I already have the pump. The rad I have now is the single 120mm radiator, it costs like $30ish from becooling.

We're working on trimming the costs, hugely associated with logistics.
If you're from the US you best get your gear from OCWC or CaseEtc.com That's the earlier BeCooling RAD I reckon. The Black Ice WILL absolutely outperform that unit. If you feel lucky, we're going to be giving away some collectible units over the month of July. Hang in there. ![]() |

hmm, ok, well, anyways, perhaps if the t-bird will still be faster, I'll peltierize it and see what I can get. I wonder if any shops sell TEC's more than 172watts...... Hmm, This should be fun!!
