Hello,
I'm new to the liquid cooling scene and from reading the posts, I may not do too bad with a set from Danger Den. I own a SuperMicro 750A which has been my first and only case for the past 4 years and I want to have the case hold the entire cooling setup. I would welcome any advice on what would be the best setup I can fit inside the 750A. Any pics 750A owners can post up would be awesome. I want to consider all design options before putting my case under the knife (dremel) ;> Many Thanks |

I have a SC-760 case which is almost identical to the SC-750.
The best location for the radiator is just above the PSU, so you need a "cube" radiator like the AquaCoil II from http://www.aquastealth.com, or the DD Cooling Cube from http://www.dangerden.com/mall/radiators.asp. I prefer the AquaCoil II (the one I bought) because of the 1/2" connections and the two parallel waterways, as opposed to the 3/8" connections and single pass of the DD Cube. As for the waterblock, take a look at the Maze2 (http://www.dangerden.com/mall/water_block.asp) or the Swiftec MCW-462 (http://www.swiftnets.com). These are two of the best actual waterblocks. Very good and quiet pumps are the Danner Mag Drives (model 5 or 7), the best pumps are the Eheim 1048 or 1250, but expensive. At last buy some good 1/2" silicone tube and use hose clamps. CD ![]()

Hi I have the same case and I installed the aqua coil above the power supply. To do it, purchase a peice of sheet metal from home Depot, I think it was a 5x7 Piece. and attched it to the other end of the radiator so the inlet/exit tubes will face inward the case. In the back of the case I cut a 120mm hole in the back. So right now the radiator is setup as Fan Grill/Case/120mmFan/Sheet Metal/radiator/120mm fan.
I purchased the Maze2-1 with the 3/8" from danger den danner mag-drive 250 from aquacoil. You can buy all the fitting for it at Home depot. My temp dropped 10C and even with the 2 120mm fans it is still quiet. I also kept two fans up front. If you want I'll send you some pics in a couple of days. I have to buy some batteries for this digital camera |

Thanks for the advice. I didn't occur to me to put the radiator on top of the PS. I was considering either cutting a hole on the bottom of the case or the front.
Mpfos, I'd love to see a pic of your setup once you get some batteries. Can you post it here or should I send you my email address? Modru ![]() |
