I remember magdrive pumps use AC current to pull an impellor thats "floating" on a magnetic field.
What about DC pumps? Do they have a DC motor hooked up to an impellor sort of like a fan motor + blades? Why are they so much less dependable then even inexpensive AC pumps? Are there other types of pumps? Thanks. I'm trying to do a quick writeup on pumps and I don't want to generalize incorrectly about different pumps. |
