Are there any good air-taps / water-tanks, wich one is "best"?
Should you place the air-trap before the inlet of the pump, so it pushes only water to the rest of the system or ? Should the airtrape be placed above/higer then the rest of the system to get the best result? |

make one out of PVC. Tap two holes, one high, one low, and affix barbs to them. Cap the bottom. Put on a screw on top. That's all there is to it.

Yep
![]() Put it at the highest point so it doubles as a fill point. |

Just like airspirit and gmat say. It's the best and you can mount it anywhere. Make it smaller, bigger or what ever you want.

I made one too, works perfectly.
You can see it here and here It has a rubber ring that with that closing mechanism keeps things air tight. Kinda ghetto , but i like it ![]()

I agree...
![]() Something to keep in mind though is that the higher the water flow is thru your system, the larger the reservoir should be. To be effective at removing air bubbles, the water velocity has to slow way down so they can escape to the surface. The larger volume decreases velocity as the water passes thru the trap. This is one reason I believe a lot of people have problems with the small commercial reservoirs like the Danger Den unit and bay reservoir. Just my $.02 worth, good luck. |

Hmmmm, I have been looking at the aqua-computer's air-trap, do you think it would be to smal?
How long does it take before the system is drained, since if you place the tower on it's side the air would move around. http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/rd.ph...34901&toc=5450 |
