Default Eheim 1250

Hello, I just got one of these.
I noticed that the inlet is ½", but the outlet is only 3/8", how are you guys solving this problem? I want both of them to be ½".
Thanks.

That's strange....

I am currently using the Eheim 1250 and my intake is 5/8" and outlet is 1/2" (barb sizes that is)

Are you looking for what fitting type they are?

BTW the outlet barb that comes with the 1250 is a 1/2" barb fitting.

Yes, the threads are 5/8" and ½", but the hose-fittings are shaped like funnels, and only takes smaller hoses.
My 3/8" hose fits nicely on the outlet, but I want to use a ½". Do you suggest i fix/make my own fittings?

The sizes he is refering to are the NPT sizes not the barbs. You can just replace those barbs with whatever you want drom your local hardware store. For the inlet make sure the nPT thread is 1/2", and for the outlet make sure your nPT size is 3/8". And as far as the corresponding barb sizes, get what works in your system.

Keep in mind that the original barbs have o-rings. Very few fittings have these o-rings, but you can use silicone tape to get a good seal....
