Default Black Ice Low pressure drop mod...

I have a Black Ice Radiator, that I plan on using with water cooling setup. Before I put it back in. Would it be a good investment to sent ot ocwc to have them mod it for the low pressure drop and maybe even upgrade to 1/2" fittings?

I also have a Danger Den Maze 2 water block with the 3/8" fittings, and before I install the kit if I have the mods done to my Radiator... How easy would it be to upgrade to 1/2 fittings on my water block?

Also is 1/2" worth it? Also I checked out the new Black Ice Extreme... Whats the physical size of these compaired to the Black Ice. My black ice will squeeze into my PC60 case, if it's the same or smaller I may go with that. If so I'll have a brand new never used Black Ice Radiator for sale.

Thanks for any help...

Also I need a pump I want a very small reliable pump. I think the Ehiem will be rather large to mount inside my case.

Thanks again.

Actually I think the BI Extreme is twice as thick as the black ice...

Thats fine I'm talking like height and width... I have plenty of room for depth.

Hiya.

Been so tied up haven't had time to lurk in the forums. Let me answer your questions in turn:

Well two things, one the LPD mod's aesthetics tend to make us queasy. Second, there's the Black Ice Xtreme.

I can't speak for the block, but 1/2" do not make any difference on the Black Ice I, it is simply for compatibility.

Effectively the same height, only that the Xtreme is thicker at 43mm to the Prime's 25mm.

The Eheim 1048 will do you fine.
