There are all different kinds of plastics: some clear, translucent or opaque. They are referred to by trade names as well as chemical names (Plexiglas - acrylic, Lexan - polycorbonate, etc.).

One good source for tubes, spheres, rods, etc. is www.tapplastics.com

I bought my first 2 inch section from a fellow member, but I've since ordered more from www.mcmasters.com and www.usplastics.com .

Many brand-named plastics (Plexiglass, Altuglass etc) belong to Saint Gobain.
Here's a list of per-country subsidiaries:
http://www.saint-gobain.com/en/html/societes/f_pays.asp
try "western europe"->"norway"
there are a few companies selling St Gobain products, and there are chances they carry products from other manufacturers.
Tubes and rods may be hard to find though, good luck.

(edit) St Gobain own the Tygon brand BTW - so there are good chances those resellers carry Tygon (at Euro prices, as you'll see)

Man those plastic tubes with info pamphlets on House For Sale signs have been catching my eye lately, hehe. They look to be about the exact size I'd like to make a Twister Res. So far I've been able to resist the temptation, but don't know how long I'll hold out 8P~

peace.

I know of a very good store in Brussels where I get all my plastic stuff (also the 50/46mm transparent tube).
It's about 30 Euro/meter (anyway last time when I bought some...)
I could send you some if you are able to pay me through Paypal or another way...
