question about ddr-sdram
Is it possible to use a 256mb 2100 ddr-sdram stick with a 256mb 2700 ddr-sdram stick?

You can buy 256MB Corsair PC2700 Cas2 for $56 a stick at buymstar. If you're planning to OC your FSB, try to keep everything at a higher rating (those sticks can typically do 185+ at 2-2-2-4/5. These sticks do miracles on NForce2 boards in dual-DDR configuration.
If you aren't planning on OC'ing your FSB, you will be perfectly fine. If you DO include the PC2100 stick, however, don't expect to get over 145 FSB in ANY circumstances. Good luck.
