So, I was thinking, which is generally dangerous for me, and I started wondering if the thickness of the semiconductors on a peltier make a difference to effectiveness. Would it be possible to make a peltier that was a few inches thick? would it be possible to make a peltier that was a hose, with one end cold, and the other end hot?

I would imagine that the thicker it was the more resistance there would be, therefore more power would be required to get the same effect. If it was an inch thick it would require some extreme cooling. Why the hell would you want to do this?
