Default LRWW Setup

I need some feedback on this setup: if it would work well with a LRWW.

-200gph pump tank (from www.sysfx.net - not released yet) - about 10-13W

-120mm radiator with 120mm fan (108cfm)

-1/2" tubing and system

-only cpu on the loop - a P4 - but might add a GPU waterblock to the loop inline - not sure yet - would that increase temps or stress the system?

If the CPU is one of the latest 3.06 to come out (or similar high speed), and/or if you plan to overclock, I'd have to recommend a beefier pump, and a better heatercore than what sounds like a BIM (Black Ice Micro).

Otherwise, you're good.

well he does say its a 120mm radiator and 120mm fan. a BIM is only 80mm. but even if it is a BIX i'd still get a heatercore. like one from DTeK. as for that pumptank, i dont recommend it because the only size fittings that i see on that sysfx site are 3/8" and the LRWW uses 1/2" fittings. i suggest either a Eheim or Hydor pump.

Oh yes, I forgot that the BIM is 80mm not 120. A BIX should work fine, but I'd also have to recomend a heatercore.

I worked in a photolab one summer, and my boss couldn't understand why people who have an expensive top-of-the-line Nikon camera, got their film developped at Wall-Mart.

In this case, I wouldn't compromise on the performance of a top of the line waterblock, with an "average" core, and/or a weaker pump, than an Eheim 1048.

The pumptank i'll be getting is sitll in the works - it will be in 1/2" fittings - true 200 gph tested tested with tubing connected as opposed to a lot of aquarium tanks whos gphs ratings are tested with unrestricted flow.

For more detailed analysis by the people who know, this is taken verbatim from email correspondence with Harley @ SystemFx, posted with his permission ("no probs, post were you please")and one caveat; 200GPH pumps are still being tested:

Our 5/16 inlet size is 5/16ID 3/8OD. 3/8 is 3/8ID 7/16OD. 1/2 is 1/2ID 9/16OD
Attached are some images of the pumps with some new improvements.

both 120GPH and 200GPH are 3.5" diameter
120 is 2.1" wide, 200 is 2.6" wide.

120GPH 110/120VAC @ 60Hz 3.4 Watts
200GPH 110/120VAC @ 60Hz 9.5 Watts
Very low temp yield (very low, if any, heat added to system)

120GPH PT-188 comes in 5/16 and 3/8
200GPH PT-288 will come in 3/8 and 1/2

PSI's will vary, but if you need to know
120GPH has a 2' power head
200GPH has a 4' power head
