Ok, besides the fact that by doing this you void the warranty. Barring that risk, I want to know if by removing the lucite block, I can tap into the existing holes in the block not being used by the block (6 of them) to attach a TEC and cold plate compressed against the block.
Anyone do this at all? I figure it would be a decent solution, my only worries is whether or not I would break the lucite top by compressing it well? |

DangerDen sells a Maze4-1 that'll accomodate a pelt, which includes the option of not running it with a pelt.
Don't you have the tapped holes under your block? There ought to be six of them. http://www.dangerden.com/mall/blocks/maze4.asp Otherwise, I'd consider trading it in for the 4-1 model: just call DD. I wouldn't advise using the top screws: the clamping pressure might stress the acrylic. |
