Are 226W Qmax pelts a waste. My Athlon XP puts out 86.3W of power. If I overclock it by 200% wouldn't it only be putting out around 170W? Obviously a 200% overclock is VERY optimistic, but still. Maybe I just don't understand what Qmax is. Wouldn't it be better to just get a 170W pelt with a high DTmax?

The point of using a Pelt is to go below zero. So why not get a 226 to go below 0, instead of only using 170?
I see your point about the wasted energy, but if you're going to go big, why not go REALLY big? |
