Default mounting hardware

ive got a basic spiral design amd block milled , now im looking for bolts etc to mount it.

ive decided upon the following to make one of the mounting pieces (x4 of the following since 4 mounting holes)and this is the order of arranging all the parts.

m3bolt
nylon washer
mobo
block
nylon washer
6 pound compression spring
metal washer
wingnut.

i thought of using a bolt instead of a stud as it cuts down the space needed behind the mobo .

my question is , is this ok? is the spring pressure ok? what length bolts should i be looking at?
