Any opinions on new MCP 600 pump?

Figured someone had to ask:shrug:

Me thinks that even 'Mr' BillA (forgot what you said you'd call yourself when speaking from there )could make a mention on this (and that we could all use the 'grain of salt/conflict of interest' filter when he does so he doesn't get into trouble)(maybe point us at some third party reviews,etc?). Sounds like ideal pump maybe?

I got one yesterday. You can see relative performance in this thread:

http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...&threadid=7931

And relative size here:

It's a bit noisy for my tastes out of the box, but Bill suggested I run it for a couple of days and the noise should decrease some. I am doing that now.

the only 'heads up' that we are aware of at this time relates to excessively restricting the inlet
-> do not do so

we know that the 1/4" fittings on the Innovatek res will cause the pump impeller to cavitate and eventually lose its prime
- and cease pumping

do not restrict the inlet

a bit noisy at first (that was what my 33 - 36dbA measurement was of), does decrease over time
