So the RIAA bots can be wrong..

If this is true what is to say that the bots are not wrong in other cases? I have no problem for making people pay for stealing but the method that the RIAA choose always bothered me.

I am a 70 (almost 71) year old male, and have used computers for the last 46 years. Over the years i have worked with many women who are just as good with computers as the men.

Neither age nor sex has anything to do a persons ability to use a computer (Mac or PC).

You can take your foot out of your mouth now.

Since you feel that you must place someone in their place.. consider this. Age is a good indicator of music preference and habitual computer use.
Since I can easily say that anyone over 60 using a computer to download punk rock and rap represents maybe perhaps .001% of the population, it is a fair laughable point to laugh at the RIAA for being so hasty to bring cases to court. Furthermore noting that the MAC does not have the abililty to use the program Kazaa makes it another seriously fatally flawed argument.
Combining the two elements together and it shows you how far the RIAA was reaching, since the percentage of these people using both MAC and being over 60 is statistically -0- !!!!!. And THAT .. is something to laugh at. Did you not read the article at all?
Besides I am a computer support tech for a large company. I KNOW that if they are a woman over 60 and calling into my line, the chances of them knowing ANYTHING about computers is VERY slim. Age discriminatory?? The computer doesn't frankly care. Statisically representable? .. very much so. I am I being unfair by stating this?

Yes I read the article when it first came out. I agree that the RIAA should have done a little research because of your statistics.

I was objecting to RedPhoenix laughing at the possibility of a 66 year old woman using a Mac. My life experience has taught me that it is possible, and your life experience has taught you that it is not possible.

My son-in-law’s mother (72years old) uses a Mac. And that is a fact. Now I suppose you will Statisically (your spelling) speaking laugh at that.

No, I was not laughing at you, and did not mean to imply such. There would have been a ‘lol’ if I was laughing. I have read a lot your replies in these forums and I was amazed that you made the error. I make a lot of typo errors. My grammar, as you can see, also could use some improvement.

I started programming in assembly language in 1957. 2 of the 6 programmers in our group were women, and were very good at it. In my 46 years of computer usage I have dealt primarily with people who were able to solve their own problems, or ask the person next door.

As I get older it takes longer for me to connect the dots. If I do not take my time I sometimes jump to the wrong conclusion. So maybe I was wrong in assuming that a 66 year old woman could use a Mac. My bad. I apologize to all. End of subject.
