Yeah but the best/worst thing about laptops is they are so damn small!

Small? yeah. I'm using my IBM T30 right now (my main righ is down to add some waterblocks) and Its got a 14" veiwable screen with 1400x1050 pixels. My 19" CRT right here can't even display that much clearly.

I have lazy eyes... better for me to have a slightly blurry 19" than a crystal clear 14" one. Beside my main gripe about laptops is having to type on those keyboards/ touch pads.

The fact remains that 17" 1600x1200 notebook screens are fairly common on higher end notebooks now. Can't get anything like that in desktop lcds. Too bad

yeah, I don't like that little touchpad much either.
The 'legacy free' is annoying me too; no PS/2 ports which is a problem when I want to use a KVM switch with PS/2 ports; so I have to order a PS/2 to USB adapter if I want to hook it up, but with my lame college budget I can't afford that kind of stuff. The keyboard on the other hand, aside from keys left out for compactness, I like more than my regular keyboard. The keys don't make as much noise and I like their level of feedback. |
