Detailed PDF
There was a thread on OCAU where someone made a block or was attempting to make a block with a very similar channel layout as that. (Pictures in the thread are gone unfortunately) Nothing new really. A slight "enhancement" to a micro-fin design. I'd be curious to see the sort of flow getting through there with the dimple design. That will increase flow turbulence but with the offshoot of increased resistance as well in this configuration. Interestingly enough, at sections in the base, the bp goes down to 0.64mm at its thinness with certain "heat voids". So how much area do these 45 "heat voids" effectively cover (read the pdf). Since the bp is so thin in such areas, and the thickest area is 1.27mm, which really aint much at all, there wont be much heat dissipation. i.e. the heat wont spread through much of the copper so I question the usage of the extra fin areas on either side. Not much else really given in the form of info. To me it seems they wish to try and marry the WW & Cascade in some fashion. Well at least its most likely assured to be a step up from the Maze4. |
