when i lived with my parents, we had a water pipe break directly above the computer. it was off and unplugged. took everything apart and put a fan on it for a week, and aside from water spots on the case the only thing that died were the speakers. monitor and everything were fine. the speaker cones got a tad wet. they still worked, but not very well.

I've got a similar board but with the built in 8M ram chips. I've got it screwed to the wall in the garage w an AMD 233 clocked down to 200 (all the board supports) works just fine playing MP3's. I've never gotten around to getting a case for it though, it does get old vaccumming off MDF dust all the time.
