Default black or dark red non-UV dye

can anyone give me a solid suggestion on finding some non-UV black or dark red dye or something that otherwise would suffice and produce the desired effect without running the risk of toasting a pump system and hardware thereafter? thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, iodine has a tendency to deposit itself as a precipitate, and it might react with copper or aluminum (but I'm not a chem expert).
