Best AMD chip for @ $150 usd right now?
Just wondering. I recently loaned my 2800+ Barton to a friend (I like my 2100+ tbred-b). All was good for about a month, until I went over there to install a better hsf on his comp, my old coolermaster heatpipe, i think it's the hhc-001. To make long story short, he accidentally chipped the core while engaging the socket lugs w/ the clip. He gave me the $160 I paid for the proc, and he bought himself a 2800+ barton processor.
I was planning on using the (now broken) 2800+ barton with a tec to see how high i could overclock it, but now I'm s-o-l. I've read good things about the mobile 2500 barton from various places, are those unlocked? Just asking your opinion as to what's the best AMD processor that's out right now, that is not a 64 or opteron, etc. Thanks.

Also, I might just wait it out to upgrade to something else. What's the best course of action for the 64 bit market? Should I wait it out or upgrade now? I'm really just out of the loop when it comes to the new stuff, some info links would help. What seems to be the best bang for the buck as far as 64-bit?

you might consider an axpm 2600+, if they're still available. unlocked bartons that will OC like crazy, less than $150, shipped.
