Re: Snap 2200 Won't Power up
Does the 2200 give any led pattern?
if No LED's: Some times the power switch (button on back) can be hard to get a start signal. They were not designed to be powered up/down daily. Built for 24/7 operation. Some times the power supply fails too, but not very often.

Press, hold and wiggle the power switch to see if you can get the start signal.

Re: Snap 2200 Won't Power up
Use a Volt meter and check the output of the power supply. The Green LED may just be the line side.

Re: Snap 2200 Won't Power up
Well that tells me you have a bad MB or power supply jack. With maybe the switch being bad on the MB. If you remove the mb so you have access to the bottom of it, you can jumper the pins that make it start up. This will tell you either the sw is bad or something else on the MB. There are also fuses (block) on the MB too, one may be blown.

Re: Snap 2200 Won't Power up
I don't have a picture of the bottom of the circuit board. Basicly if you locate the power sw/button, it is secured with 4 solder post. The 2 front ones are not used, the 2 rear ones are the ones you need to short. These are connected (shorted) when you push the button in.
I checked, I don't have any photos of the 2200 MB. Moat all others mbut not that one. You can send me a photo, use atleast a 3mbp resolution so I have resolutions to zoom in.

Re: Snap 2200 Won't Power up
The fuse block is the 4 bare/exposed wires in front of the bottom lefy screw hold on the top view. Verify that these 4 wires are in 1 piece. The exposed wires indicate that they are good.
There is not enough resolution to enlarge and show in detail. But if you look where the power switch is you will see 4 solder connections that is used by the switch. 2 are used to hold the switch in place, and 2 are the actual contacts that need to be shorted together. For a more detail the photo needs to be of only the area around the power switch. A 2200 will not startup with out a Battery, CR2032. The std one used in most pc's.

My eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, but it looks like it's missing a battery.

Re: Snap 2200 Won't Power up
If jumpering past the switch does not work, and the PS is good, the MB may be the curpit. Only if your testing with ony one HD to minimized power draw. I've seen bad drives pull a PS down. But you should at least get a blink on the LED's.
