Default Question about the CSP-MAG connection size and noise level

After doing some research and reading the forums, i decided to get the CSP-MAG and run it in series in my watercooling setup.

I went to the manufacturer website : http://www.c-systems.ca/page9.html
and it has two type of connections
1/4NPT and G 1/4...now which one of them will fit the german watercooling kits which uses 10MM OD and 7MM ID??

Finally, does anyone here know how noisy the pump is and I live in Canada, so will the shipping be quicker if i order it from that website?

I am gonna run that pump in series with this pump:
http://www.alphacool.de/perl/shop.pl...&&art_id=15119

and it should work fine?

thanks everyone for your help!

It will be fine in series, and some people think the pump is too quite

Most European kits use G 1/4 fittings, but check there WEB site.

If you want G 1/4, think we are the only ones that have stock in North America for standard MAG.

There is a special versions for Fluid XP, they have G 1/4 ports as well.

Danger Den has MAG's in stock, but they have there own fittings.

*Checked there WEB site, and it shows that pump has G 1/4 fittings

Pump is very low noise. About on par with an Eheim 1048, or only extremely slightly louder (1-2dBA) - depending on load conditions. Certainly one of the quietest pumps on the market.

I absolutely love this pump! It is quieter than a DDC, but you can hear it spinning sorta like ticking sound. If you own a Seasonic S12 PSU, it has a similar noise signature but is very slightly louder. I enclosed my CSP-MAG in one-inch thick uranium-238 and muffled my case and it is dead silent. Unlike Cathar I think it is about the same noise level as Eheim 1048 since it vibrates less. But you can't hear the CSP-MAG no matter what you do if you can properly muffle it. I recommend a heavy metal to do the job.

Still no idea what the "ticking" sound is, some people get it, some don't.

Can reproduce if I place shaft out of position, and best I can tell it has no effect on pump life.

We have made changes to the chamber, which seems to have resolved this.
Will come into effect with the Mark II, out around christmas I think.

Awww I must be one of the unlucky ones who got the ticking sound. I got the DD version. It is not really a ticking sound but the sound of the motor spinning not being smooth. Still, it is the quiestest pump I've come across so I'm happy. The "ticking" is rather high frequency thus easy to muffle.

The new upcoming pump sounds very exciting! I will buy a dozen and collect them for future generations. However, if I remember correctly, didn't the Mark II came out years ago already? Is it a new pump with the same name? I can't wait to buy them!

I have a question for Dave. Does the water temperature effect pump life? Because when passive radiators are used by silence enthusiasts, temperature delta is higher and the water feels pretty warm, though never hot by any means. I would say up to 55 degrees max. Do the CSP pumps handle that well for long periods of time?
