Well as to why I beleive that kyle and the H crew allwoed me to sell my block on the site, was that it was basicly designed there. Like I am trying to do with the pump block. I came down with an idea, and asked for imput. Like alot of people do. What I think set me apart, was that I actually made them. Alot of people say they are gonna do something and never do.

I did not set out to get rich on the Spir@l. I just setout to try my best and give people what they want. hell, I actually lost money. But that wasnt the point. I am not a big manufacturer like DD of CPUFX, or OCLC, I am one guy, trying to give back to the comunity. Which is all I have ever done.

And I am not one to bash, I like a select few people fromt he H frums alot, and have gotten alot of support from them, but with the growing number of whining, and idotic posts there, I had to try and find another place to get good quality repleys.

And I tell U this, if the whining about the Spiral block demand keeps up, I will stop them all togheter. I told everyone that when making them becomes more like a job then a hobbie, I quit.

My rant.

u guys are cool in my book.

I wasn't attacking you at all so if any of what i said came across like that it wasn't meant. I understand your position especially this "I told everyone that when making them becomes more like a job then a hobbie, I quit".

My rant was more at the hard OCP people's attitude than anything else. no other site had a problem with anything I've posted and like you I was trying to help the community as I myself just didn't have the ability to make stuff

It's also fair that some will want what they have ordered in after a certain period has past. It's also understandable that someone else will copy what you make (if it's as good as your spiral), It may piss you off but imitation is the best form of flattery

I'm not going to rant too, it'd just get repetitive But what I will say is that there is a differance between what Blade and Fix are doing compared to what CPUFX do.

Blade and Fix aren't making huge amounts of money at all on what they are doing. I think Blade is having a gf3 cooler being sold somewhere, and of course Fix sells through Dtek.

I actually got CPUFX banned, I searched on the hardforums for every single thread 'hardware' posted in, sent them all to Kylie, who banned him instantly. This was because I had so much evidence, not just one or two threads.

Kylie is arrogant, we all know it, and his site is slowly going down because of it, l go to it for news only now, cause it is updated plenty of times a day with the latest news.

I completely support people like Xjinn, Blade, Fix, who have their own unique ideas, and let other people have them, one way or the other

Well said. I started out with good intentions but failed to come through with a product that could be available so instead of taking orders and saying I will make them I just shut it down. I had about 50 people wanting one of my Al blocks but I just don't have the time now to make them like I hoped I would so I have not and probably will not take any orders on a customer/business type relationship. Instead I may make a few for people here and there that want to get into water cooling but cannot afford a $40 block but they are on their own with it.

In any event I see more positive and quality posts here than just about any other forum I frequent. I got over 4500 posts at www.amdforums.com and am apart of their SETI team, but they fail miserably in water cooling area. I see a few people from here over there now and then but just not enough people interested in water cooling there yet to get positive feed back and new usable ideas.

I really appriciated the input I got here from everyone about my blocks, and I have got a lot more good info in other threads. I am working on a few blocks over the weekend and will post some pics as soon as possible of them.

yeah Jaydee I think that might be what I am gonna do, just let it go, fill the 30 block order I currnetly have to Dtek, and liqidate the other blocks I have. For trades and stuff. I think that is a good idea, I am gonna contack that company that is sellin the other Spirals, and tell them that I will take no legal action if they give Dtek customs a price brak on quantity orders. So he can sell them too.

BTW, I seen that block U are making, Good job...... but why no copper? (sarcasm)

Well I don't want you to shut down if you don't have to but I understand the stress of it all more now than ever. If I didn't have a traveling job I would suggest a partnership and we could share our mills to double output, but I am not around enough to run the mill. My first road trip of this year will be on the 18th. Will be gone for about 7-8 days and then it will probably road trip after road trip after that untill layoff time next year.

I actually did think about Copper as I have about 14pcs already cut to size I need to do something with, but I shutter at the thought of milling it. Especially with a 1/8" bit. I don't have a carbide 1/8" bit anyway. I will have to figure out something to do with those extra copper pcs. I will probably dump $50 for a couple carbide bits and mill them into a few blocks and try and at least get my money back out of the material and bit's.

When everyone wakes up around here I will fire up the mill and finish that block I am working on and start one more I have been thinking about.

I have been looking fairly close at that other spiral and don't think it is as good as yours. I can't really tell but it dosn't look like it has the same width and depth of channels and it dosn't have the 4 holes built into the block, instead it used that plexy plate.

I hope many don't think it is the original spiral. Especially if it is not as good as your.

Regarding the H, yes there is a double standard. With Fixitt's products, I really don't mind since his contributions to the forums are positive and entertaining. It's obvious he's not there just to sell waterblocks. Contrast this to how Nevin has been treated. Never a pimp, only support and correction of the facts when they are in error, yet he was banned for quite some time for pimping his product? I don't get it!

As to the design of the Spiral, I sent a note to Dennis at Danger Den with the idea of a spiral design after seeing the movie Pi, before any public mention of Fixitt's block. I believe the progression to a spiral type block is a natural occurrence in the minds of watercooling folks that think.

And finally, for Fixitt, just keep doing what you are doing. You have already established yourself as the Spiral dude. Your products and customer service are good. Keep it up and don't worry so much about the look a likes.

I agree with that completely, if you get sick of it because you aren't making enough money, then go to a lower block, or one that is smaller in the other two axis. Aluminium is the other bet, once Joe's waterblock roundups are done

Well i beleive in making a bad situation better. I talked to the guy over at Geminicool. he is a really nice guy. i beleive that with his machines, and his knowledge and mine, we can work together to furter better the water cooling cominuity. I have requested a sample of his blocks. And I will send him a sample of mine, I beleve we can work together a prolly make a good formiable team. All who know me, know I dont sell my blocks to make money. Although I do need the money now! But to help people who want good blocks at very good prices. Kind of me giving back for what I have received in knowedge. I will test his blocks on my test rig (100 watt pelt) system and see how well it does against mine. if it is acceptable, I will prolly stand behind him as a formitable company to get the Spir@l Blocks into more hands.

I hope we cam make this work, as we all know that I cannot make them fast enought. But if it goes sour, i can always HORD the Spir@l design! LOLOL Just kidding.

Well to all the block builders out there, thanks for your contributions. I hope soon to be able to show some of mine. For now here are some pics

http://community.webshots.com/user/thereallinu/1

And about the [H] Yea I kind of stopped hanging around there quite some time ago. Too many poeple that don't know what they are talking about giving advice about things they don't know about. It's mostly a noobfest. But the main reason I'm here is that the conversations are more intelligent.
