I just scored another 'broken' snap 1100 server that I am keen to add a new HDD to.
Unfortunately the laptop that had the SNAP winhex .bin file and OS 4.x upgrade had a fatal mishap and I no longer have these files.. Would it be possible for some helpful frienely person to mail me the files or message me as I really want to get this all working. spamman@gmail.com Thanks Spamman |

The 1100 does not store the OS in flashram. In order to get it up and running again, you will need to copy the boot tracks from another snap or image file. This is usually done with dd (digital dolly) from the Knoppix CD. Or you can use anything that supports RAW copy.

I don't know looking at your user name, if it lost your mailing list that was a good thing. And I like it when the authorities shut them down.
What size harddrive are you have going back with?

cannot tell the hardware and software version as I do not have a working harddrive in the snap server...
I think what I need is a copy of the first sectors of a working snap server and also version 4 firmware to enable larger hdd support? I just do not know where I can get these files again...I originally got them of the FTP mentioned in another post but have since lost them... If someone could help me get them again I would be eternally greatful.. |
