Snap server 14000 Problem

I have bought a snap server 14000 without disk (not new) and i was thinking to buy new drive from adaptec but i don't known if my snap server is working.

I have connected a serial cable and connected the other side to my PC, if i put the speed to 115200 I see very quickly a message:

"[Tx] chibo" ...

Then i only see "!" then no more messages.

On the front i see:

"Backplane Firmware Revision 1.4."

Can someone help me? Thanks a lot...

The Guardian OS is stored on the Hard Disk. No Hard Disk = No OS.

I have contacted Adaptec French resellers and they don't sell disk+ OS, so how to do?

Where can i find the disks and OS in USA ? Can someone provide me a link to a shop?

If someone want to sell me some hardrive + OS for my Snap 14000 i will be interested to buy.

Thanks for the help.

Stephane.

They don't really sell the OS. What they sell is a maintenance agreement, that includes OS updates. -OR- You buy a replacement drive/sled that has the OS on it also (from them, so it is up to date)...
