Hay All,
Heres the break down..... I have a SnapServer 1000, and typically the HDD died ![]() I've tried just putting the new HDD into the Snap, hoping that the OS was stored on flash, not succesful though, lights were flashing sporadicly but couldn't detect it on the network. also, If i cant copy it from 1 HDD to the other, has anyone got a compatable SnapOS image they could mail to me (i know your not supose to, but i cant see how adaptec can charge what they do for it ![]() mathewdobsonm.c.s.e@hotmail.co.uk Any replys appriciated, Cheers. Mat.... ![]() |

Try it. If it boots then reload the OS from the sup file. It may work but the code between the units are different unless the 1000 is a late model one. Some 1000 have used the 1100 image file.

The 1000 have been very odd units. Some have OS in flash, other have there own OS Image, and others use a 2200 image.
So you will actually need the Snap1000.bin image file.
