Default Re: snap server 550 problem

That indicates some major problem with the share. Normally if your using snapshots it would auto repair on boot. Which makes me wonder if you may have had a Hardware failure. Do you have another Guardian OS NAS to transfer the drives too? (if so you will need to disable snapshots and AV to swap drives) When you connect a monitor and keyboard ( or null modem w/terminal) do all drives show up in the bios? It's acting like the share is lost, which could be HW related.

The Guardian OS is Linux Redhat, so you can verify the drives are good in a linux machine. There should be 4-5 partitions, with 1 of them the raid share.

If you have a copy of SpinRite it can check the HD's for media failure. If your unit happen to have Maxtor drives it possiable you have lost multiple drives. I've seen these ( cheap junk ) drives fail 2 with less than a week apart. Just make sure you mark the position if you remove them.

If you have a service contract with Adaptec I would say it's time to call them. The unit ( hardware ) should have had a 3 yr warranty.
