Default Custom Screens for a Snap 4100 - Help?

Hi all!

I have already contaced Bitor who was kind enough to tell me what he knew, but I am afraid I need a bit more help, if anyone knows.....

I need to create a custom main page... no problem there. However, here's the rub.....

What I really need to accomplish is to have a custom static welcome screen, that would then prompt the user for name & password. When that users does so, I need to put them into a share specific to them, displaying a custom screen as well.

It appears from the SnapOS manual that you can indeed have a different screen for users in a specific share. According to the manual, you just create a HTML page in that share and it will display to the user.

What I DON'T know is if I can hide ALL other shares that exist. In other words, can I just leap the user into their share without them seeing ANY other shares besides those they are members of?

I am assuming I can create a share called ABC, put a custom HTML in there to show the various directories in that area, (Think BBS areas or forum areas if you will) but can I without them seeing there is also a DEF and GHI share on the Snap server as well.

Anybody have any ideas, instructions or even bad news regarding this?

Thanks for any help!

As long as you set the access rights corectly it will work. If you do not give them access they will get an error and unable to display the directory listing.
