Hi all!
I have already contaced Bitor who was kind enough to tell me what he knew, but I am afraid I need a bit more help, if anyone knows..... I need to create a custom main page... no problem there. However, here's the rub..... What I really need to accomplish is to have a custom static welcome screen, that would then prompt the user for name & password. When that users does so, I need to put them into a share specific to them, displaying a custom screen as well. It appears from the SnapOS manual that you can indeed have a different screen for users in a specific share. According to the manual, you just create a HTML page in that share and it will display to the user. What I DON'T know is if I can hide ALL other shares that exist. In other words, can I just leap the user into their share without them seeing ANY other shares besides those they are members of? I am assuming I can create a share called ABC, put a custom HTML in there to show the various directories in that area, (Think BBS areas or forum areas if you will) but can I without them seeing there is also a DEF and GHI share on the Snap server as well. Anybody have any ideas, instructions or even bad news regarding this? Thanks for any help! |

As long as you set the access rights corectly it will work. If you do not give them access they will get an error and unable to display the directory listing.
