Default New guy begs for help with snap 4500!!!

Hello everyone my name is Will im new to this forum and i realy am enjoying it.

So i picked up a snap server 4500 off craigslist i got the thing for a song and i thought i would be able to load Redhat to it but it has no drives or sleds!!!

The drives are not a problem but the sleds are like unicorns i have herd of them but never even seen one in person.

I read the stick on the snap servers and i was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction to get them or if any of you are selling some. i would hate to have to buy the ones with the drive on them.

If anyones has any ideas let me know?

The sleds are very uniquie and hard to find. Phoenix32 may have a source, what for him to check in. But there not cheap. Adaptec wants $125 for them if you buy there HD's for a arm and a leg.

They charge more than that.. The last ones I saw in stock anywhere were with 160 GB drives for over $400/ea.

But, yes, I can get the sleds in small numbers for way less than that.

Send me a PM letting me know how many you want and what you are willing to pay for them. And trust me, they won't be cheap...

Keep in mind, the 4500 uses a watchdog that has to be turned off or it will not see the OS it expects and reboot itself over and over.
