Hello everyone my name is Will im new to this forum and i realy am enjoying it.
So i picked up a snap server 4500 off craigslist i got the thing for a song and i thought i would be able to load Redhat to it but it has no drives or sleds!!! The drives are not a problem but the sleds are like unicorns i have herd of them but never even seen one in person. I read the stick on the snap servers and i was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction to get them or if any of you are selling some. i would hate to have to buy the ones with the drive on them. If anyones has any ideas let me know? |

The sleds are very uniquie and hard to find. Phoenix32 may have a source, what for him to check in. But there not cheap. Adaptec wants $125 for them if you buy there HD's for a arm and a leg.

But, yes, I can get the sleds in small numbers for way less than that. Send me a PM letting me know how many you want and what you are willing to pay for them. And trust me, they won't be cheap... Last edited by Phoenix32; 06-06-2008 at 09:35 PM. |

Keep in mind, the 4500 uses a watchdog that has to be turned off or it will not see the OS it expects and reboot itself over and over.
