What new features and fixes did they add to v5?

Very promising. Support for RAID6 and RAID10? Where do I sign up?

Actually I went and got mines. I'll be doing some reconfiguring this weekend.

Damn Phoenix, how did you find out about it - it just came out YESTERDAY

Gday Andy,

Its great that it is here, do you have anything to share on your findings? Or anything to share about its positives or negatives so far?

I have a couple of Q's;
1. Was there any documentation with it that had any reference to the older GOS units?
2. Have you tried the Raid 6 yet on 4 drives or more? (you have an SD10 don't you or was that Dave?)
3. What does the thread name "Phoenix Mental Note" mean? (or did I miss something?)

My local guys have had it here for a while (6+ months I guess) and it sure looks pretty...

Nothing exact or specific, but I will say this, It feels much smoother and is IMO a better GUI. I Think the memory enhancement did help. I never saw much difference over 512MB, and nothing at all really going from 1GB to 2GB. Now, I could feel the difference with the 2GB memory. I would not say earth shattering (as a friend of mine put it), but I like the look, and more importantly the feel, of how it runs now. The enhancements to iSCSI and to RAID are also very welcome. My only negative so far is that they added a watermark to the background of the GUI displays and I hate it. It makes me feel like my screen is dirty and wanting to wipe it off all the time.

No, I haven't yet. And David is the one with the Snap Disk 10.

Just my crazy way of telling people the new OS was out (by talking to myself outloud on the forum).
