Hello. I just bought a Overland Snap Server 410 4TB 4x 1TB Disk. This is my first time to touching this product and I have no idea that the OS stay on one of the HDD I thought the OS stay on one of the flash card or memory card. I pulled all 4 HDD out and formated them all under NTFS. After that i put them in and... well... you know . It won't work any more even all the light is in green. I can't http in to it from my firefox or IE. I have a intrucstion CD ( it said V4.4 ). How do we download and reinstall it back? Should i got to their website and download ( i can't find it anywhere on their snap overland website).
Thank you PS. Overland Snap Server same as Adaptec Snap Sever? Are they same company? |

You will need to contact tech support and see if they can help you. My guess you will have to return the unit.
You made an expensive mistake.

Dave is right, you need to call tech support...
But with their help you should be able to get it going again? I thought that it would take you to the recovery console where you could re-load a full image? I would love to hear back about what the result is! For any new buyers out there; All new units get; 30 Days (for the 110, 210 & 410) or 90 Days (for the 520, 620 & 650) full access to downloads with a new unit so register it asap while you are waiting for tech support to call back... If you buy a contract6 you can always get access. I have been told that 410's get 90 days but this is not what it says on the website... so I am not sure... The disc that comes with the unit has Storage manager etc, It does not have an image so all new users should go online while they have access and download everything they can and keep it all handy as many repairs need the image and if you do not have it that = more $$$ to get it... phkk, while/if you can get online and see if you still have access and can download the updates

The GSU's are not image files of the OS. It is a compressed copy of the GOS. Must be installed through the recovery console or GUI.
