Default Can't connect to Model 2000's

I have two (2) Snap 2000’s that I haven’t used in a couple of years, and now I can’t get them to come online. The SN#’s are 21418 & 35544. The 21418 has two 8gb HD, and the 35544 has two 18gb HD. I found old screen-prints from Assist that indicates the 21418 is HW ver 1.1.0, and the 3554 is HW ver 2.0.0. I know the 35544 was upgraded to SW ver 4.0.860, and I’m fairly certain the 21418 was as well. I fired both units up, and they seemed fine, based on the LED pattern. Cooling fans are both working. However, SnapAssist doesn’t see them, and I can’t connect via http://Snap#####/config. I tried connecting for several hours with no success. I connected both units directly to my PC, via my Router, and via a Switch. No success. I opened both units, cleaned them and switched the HD’s around in each unit (not between units). Still no success.

One thing I’ve noticed with Assist. I have two other Snaps, a Model 4000 and a Model 4100. Both show up in Assist, but the as gray images with a ? in them. According to Assist Help, the gray color indicates “Servers that appear in gray are running an older version of the SnapServer software, or a version that is not compatible with Assist.” Both of these units are also running SW ver 4.0.860.

Any help connecting to the Model 2000’s will be appreciated.

Default Re: Can't connect to Model 2000's

There were some report issues with the older snaps. Try use Assist with a Win98 OS.
