As the WiKi no longer works and I did not save the informatoin, I am looking for the Step-byStep on copying a working HDD OS over to a new drive. Any help is greatly appreciated. All links back to the WiKi appear to be broken.
Thanks. |

I have read that one a few times. What I need is the Step-be-Step to make the image file. Unless I am blind I did not see how to on there.

on the WiKi it used to thave the following information.
But all the links on how to do these are broken. Snap Server Image Instructions Guides to copying Images onto a Snap Server using Knoppix, current version is 4.0.2 or 5.0.1. Knoppix now supports NTFS on IDE Controllers. DD for windows can be obtained here, it uses the same syntax and commands as Linux/Unix DD. Write IMG To HD with DD - Write a Snap Server image to a new Snap Server Hard Drive (What you need if your hard drive has died) Write HD To IMG File with DD - Create a backup of your boot tracks, so that you can help others or recreate snap drives if needed! Copy HD to HD with DD - Allows you to copy directly from 1 hard drive to another - IE a working snap drive to a new drive to make it snap happy! |
