well today I descided to play with my duron. Its a 950 unlocked/
I could get 1.3 with the multiplyers. but the FSB had to stay at 100. And never being happy, I lowered the multiplyer and cranked the FSB. I could not beleive when it posted at 150 x 8 and booted. it poseted at 150 x 8.5 and 150x9 but win xp blew up So, volt mod maybe? POOR POOR DURON!

Actually all the durons I ever had will do 150+FSB.One I used: 600, 700, 800, 950, and 1gig. The key is just lower the multi and raise the FSB like you did.
Well on a side note we now have a new forum that will replace the old one for www.custom-cooling.com Url is: http://www.dorrellco.com/forum The original forum has security and bug problems that I am tired of dealing with. Unfortuantly I can not move the posts or user names over so everyone will have to reregister. Luckily we don't have to many members. I guess..... |

there is no reason why a cpu wouldn't like a high fsb. 1000mhz is the same to it whether it is 10x100, 7.5x 133 or 5x 200 for that matter.
but cool overclock regardless fix

Durons can handle the voltage..... I ran a D600 at 1122 for a long time.... 2.32v on the core..... well ok you need some major cooling, but that aint a problem... right

![]() ![]() right now I have 3 D1G's 1 on a K7S5A (ECS) @1240 Mhz and the other two on my Tiger sitting at 1150 mhz... (hardware overclocked) indeed... the Tiger MP motherboard has a undocumented FSB jumper setting, giving you 115 Mhz..... I can take them up to 119 with Soft-FSB.. but I don't trust that proggy all that much.... |

yeah, durons are cool, they blow celerons out of the water at just about any clock speed too

hehe, perfect example of someone not needing to change multipliers
