I've seen a few lesser known brands using some WC techniques.

I don't think theres much else they can do if they want to cool these new CPUs and keep the size down.

No mo, the heat is dissipated into the screen.

Some items of interest:
flow rate: 0.3 oz per minute (0.14 gph) which means that there's probably no pump.

Total capacity: 1.7 to 2 oz

"...water-based solution..."

"...the temperature of the solution can reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit..." (That's 60 deg C, so what's the CPU temp ?!?)

"...the price and the size of the water-cooled notebook PC will remain about the same..."

"...the water cooling system should have a life cycle that is 1.7 times longer than an air-cooled system..."

"Hitachi... plans to adopt the system for other products such as servers and Plasma Display Panels, which also generate large quantities of heat and require a lot of cooling"

While my panasonic is not too bad it still gets nice and toasty after being on for 10 hours or so... The NEC we have at the office gets a lot hotter though... Anyways, I just found the idea cool but Id be a bit nervous to screw around with such an expensive piece of equipment:P I made a promise when I bought that thing that it would last me at least 15 years!!!!

As for the rest, the coolant temp does seem kinda high... Ive been seeing news releases on hitachis watercooled notebook for about a year and a half now so there seems to have been a lot of research gone into it. Im eager to see what the finished product will look like.
