I know they have one because i've seen it (i guess i should have bookmarked it too).
It gives the various types of bios available and a description of what all the beeps mean during boot. My other pc running W2K loads up, and right before i get the password popup, the power cuts as if going into standby, screen blacks out and i get a Beep about once a second... Any help would be appreciated!!! |

Could be an overheat, could be unstable OC, could be any number of things ... and it doesn't help that you didn't list your motherboard make/model.

While his tone is off, he's right. Your manual should have that information.

It sounds like a BIOS fan failure safty feature. Check to make sure that your BIOS is not trying to detect a CPU fan on one of the MB fan headers. If it does not detect a fan that has a high enough RPM, then it will shut down the machine about 10 seconds after you apply power to it.
At least thats what some ABIT and ASUS MB do.

Shit, J is right! I get that same thing on all of my boards from fan failure! Check that by plugging a different fan into your CPU fan header.
The only issue with that, though, is that I get that at posting, not as it enters Windows.
