Hi,
I bought a peltier(118W), I use a 300W that can output 12V @ 12A max to power it, but it doesn't get cool or hot. Is there other ways to check if the peltier works or not? Thanks. [ 11-10-2001: Message edited by: Doraemon ] |

you mean if you just plug the pelt in on its own it does nothing? It's toast.

Toast? but it does not look or smell like it's burned, and I didn't test it for more than a sec because I was afraid I might fry it.

Toast in the non-fuctional piece of hardware sense not the literal sense. If you connect it with the plates between your fingers you should feel one get warm and one cold within a few seconds, after that switch it off, if that doesn't happen it's a faulty TEC.
