Hi fellow snap users;
I have a Snap 410 with the following specs: OS: 4.4.049 SP3 I executed update command with the path to the gsu file. The display on SNAP www interface is indicating "Upgrading". Now all Windows domain users and SNAP/admin lost rights for access to half files. After upgrading GuardianOS I am unable to set default ACL for users. If procedure 'set default ACL' started, there is no indicating for several hours. No indicating, no change, no answer from SNAP. If I log in with Putty, I have admin permission, but I have no rights for change permissins for files. Info - http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=14442 don't help me, because the admin password and root password is different. I hoping someone out there can help me out. Thanks in advance. vlanaz |

The link you refer to is for the SnapOS not the Guardian OS. But the fix should be the same once you locate the config file.
I Use putty to snoop but you have to use the debug cmd line utility to do anything. It works, you just have to give full path with all cmds to make sure it executes the cmd where you want it. If you have a backup of the ACL, try re loading it. If you have Adaptec support, hammer them till they give you a solution. There stds line is to do a clean install. NOT the RIGHT ANSWER.

Hi all snap users;
Problem was closed. Were the following actions. 1. Through SSH I logged in as admin. 2. osshell 3. su root, password admin. 4. More - correction and restoration of rights to files and change distorted the names of user groups. Thats all. Thanks in advance. vlanaz |

Thanks for posting back.
The osshell was the missing link to gain admin rights with the latest release. This was not required with v4.1.
