I do believe arctic silver doesnt cure, it rather stays in a goo state. I wouldnt think it makes a difference how long it sits for it to preform any better

SOrry bad wording abut the arctic silver 3 not cure so to say but onthere site says it needs 72 hours before optimal performance.

Bigben, yeah ive been real impressed so far a major difference for me and no loud thermaltake fans to boot.

and for $120 it was well worth the money

is it better to have the fans blowing through the radiator or sucking through it?

Depends on your situation

If the rad is mounted to the top of the tower in a blow hole then blowing out of the case pulling the inside case air through and out of the case

if it is in the front lower corner of the case then pulling air IN to the case through the radiator

I had this discussion with gmat. It seems that it would be better for a fan to suck the air through the rad, but you have to make sure that there's a seal between the rad and the fan housing.

If the rad restricts air flow a lot, then you might consider a push-pull setup, to increase the airflow a bit. You would do this because a single fan is not able to handle a lot of flow restriction, so a second fan helps fix that. The resulting flow (using two similar fans) will increase, somewhere between what a single fan can do, and the optimal flow at zero resistance. It will not increase the flow of air to something faster than what a single fan can do freely by itself.

I remember reading that in here some where, about the pull thas how i set it up. Seems to be doing good that way i might d a push pull just to see.

any ideas why adding hypet-lube would give me a +1 degree rise?

Im thinking maybe THe mix is too strong, i puit quite a bit in there.

Its only 1 degree , just one of those irritating things i guess, could be room temp varyng too.

Well, you answered this yourself!

Water alone, without any additives, is the best coolant that one can use. Performance drops when it's no longer just water.

ok thats what i was kinda wondering, if water was the best coolant.

I thinned out the additive to a NORMAL level and all seems to be back to where it was.

I guess MORE is not better ( i gotta get away from thinking like that dangit)

SOme of the best reading Ivve done, definitly the best on this issue.
